Financial Pressures Named Top Barrier to Digital Health Adoption, Xealth-CHIME Survey Finds
Majority According to a new survey Xealth, 90.5% of College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) members have implemented digital health, despite nearly half (47.6%) citing budgetary pressures and human resource limits as major impediments to digital health adoption. The Xealth study, which will be conducted online between May 15 and June 20, 2023, will look at CHIME healthcare executives' digital health experiences and perspectives.
According to the survey, 81% of CHIME members define digital health as downloaded apps and programmes with a linked device, with patient education, pdfs, and videos (not clinical references) coming in second (71.4%). Two-thirds (66.7%) identified digital health as remote patient monitoring (RPM) and downloadable apps and programmes.
