Maternity is the state of carrying a developing embryo or fetus within the body by a female. The maternity or motherhood period lasts about nine months and is divided into three trimesters (each is three months long). Maternity care is very important for the healthy delivery of a baby. It is one of the elements of the continuum of care that is required throughout and following pregnancy. Maternity is covered by health overage plan that makes it easier for pregnant women to get the medical check-ups and screening tests. Such plans are designed to make sure that the pregnant women and the baby stay healthy during the pregnancy.
Know anyone building innovative solutions that belong in this 'Maternity'?
Join MHLIC to explore innovations in maternal health. Each first and third Thursday of the month, beginning on July 1, 2021, we will host individuals/organizations who are thinking outside the box and shaking things up to improve the health of pregnant people and mothers across the nation.
At the end of each webinar, viewers will be able to describe the maternal health issue addressed by the innovation and describe at least one feature that makes this particular approach innovative in the scope of maternal health.
Our goal is that the Symposium will continue to grow into a trusted, evidence-driven, and community-centered space for maternal health professionals and others invested in the well-being of families to connect, recharge, and to advance maternal health equity in the communities in which they serve and support. The Symposium is for everyone interested in improving maternal health outcomes, including public health professionals, health care providers and administrators, community groups, advocates, policymakers, researchers, and many others.
