Medigy: E-Visit Verification

E-Visit Verification or electronic visit verification (EVV) refers to a computer based system that documents and verifies information about service delivery (location, time, date, type of service, etc) for some Medicaid service visits via electronic mode. Following are some of the critical data elements relating to the delivery of Medicaid services that are usually verified by EVV systems: • Type of service provided. • Name of the individual who delivered the service. • Exact time and date at which the service provider started and ended the service delivery visit. • Full address including the exact location at which the service was delivered. The E-Visit Verification or electronic visit verification is done by different methods by the service attendant or Consumer Directed Services (CDS) employee. Three main approved methods are: mobile method, home landline, or any alternate device.
