A real-time location system in healthcare organizations like hospitals helps in monitoring the patients, medical staff, and valuable medical equipment during emergencies. It helps in accurately tracking the location of assets and individuals in real-time. A real-time location tracking system is composed of specialized fixed receivers (location sensors) that are capable of receiving wireless signals from small ID badges or tags attached to objects of interest and persons. In turn, it helps in determining the location of tagged entities. A real-time location system can locate tagged objects/persons anywhere, be it a building or some other confined indoor or outdoor space.
