Koios DS is a software that uses artificial intelligence to analyze ultrasound images and provide cancer risk assessments. The software is built on an ensemble of algorithms that have been trained on a proprietary dataset of over 2 million ultrasound images. It is capable of analyzing 17.9k features per image. According to the manufacturer, this technology aims to reduce the number of unnecessary biopsy procedures and follow-up appointments, which can decrease patient stress and lower healthcare costs associated with false positives, over-treatment, and human error.
