The First Morning Keynote will confront the challenges to building a stronger, more inclusive, and innovative public health infrastructure in the United States. Dr. Benjamin, Executive Director of the American Public Health Association (APHA) and recognized as one of the nation’s most influential physician leaders, will focus on the role health equity needs to play in that effort.
The Second Morning Keynote will recognize the necessity to approach the promotion and protection of human rights and civil liberties as matter of public health. Ms. Lieberman, Executive Director of the New York Civil Liberties Union, and founder of the NYCLU’s Reproductive Rights Project, will include a discussion of the responsibility for public health analysis and solutions to issues ranging from the pandemic and abortion to housing, mental health and gun violence.
The Morning Panel will focus on building an environment that supports health equity. Panelists will share insights and strategies for how to address disparities in public health, healthcare, and social systems. The discussion will include what it means to promote a healthy belonging in organizations and communities. It will engage voices who lead initiatives across marginalized populations.
