The Alabama Vascular Society's Annual Meeting is open to Vascular and Endovascular Surgeons, Vascular RNs, PAs, NPs, RT, RVTs, and Vascular Trainees from Alabama and the Florida panhandle region. The meeting aims to provide attendees with the opportunity to critically assess performance of Vascular and Endovascular interventions and define the differences between the outcomes of these interventions compared with surgical procedures. It also aims to list methods for visceral revascularization and advantages and disadvantages of differing approaches, compare procedural and perioperative outcomes of aortic revascularization strategies, identify indications/contraindications and relative performance of interventions for cerebrovascular disease, evaluate the efficacy of endovascular revascularization of the lower extremity and identify patient comorbidities that may affect outcomes in a negative manner.
The meeting also includes specific training opportunities for Residents and Fellows including Mock Orals and presentation of selected cases, which allows them to have hands on experience and improve their skills in the field. We also offer additional opportunities for networking throughout the event including a golf outing.
