As a provider you enjoy taking care of individuals with IDD, you enjoy providing the individuals a home, your agency has made sure that they were included in in the community, your agency takes pride in the work that you do. I can recall a time when we had over $50,000 in back billing, some were suspended claims and some just denied for no reason, it was insane. We had to make a visit to the main office of GAMMIS, and when it was said and done, I was able to research back claims and edit and resubmit. I was able to recoup $35,000.00, we lost $15,000.00 but that’s better than $50,000. This pandemic has been overwhelming not only for your agency but also for the individuals.
