This year’s theme is “Designing for Improvement.” Process improvement requires process redesign. In other words, all would-be improvers are designers (but not necessarily good designers). Just as for improvement, there is a systematic method for good design. If you are an improver and haven’t incorporated design thinking, now is the time. As in the past, the meeting will be geared toward physicians and administrative, technical, nursing, and other improvement colleagues. Improvement is a team sport, so bring your team.
