Pediatric emergency department visits for mental health conditions increased during the pandemic further proving children’s mental and behavioral health needs are now more important than ever.
To address this ongoing increase of mental health emergencies, Children’s Health in Dallas teamed up with Philips and Recornect to create and pilot innovative rooms with advanced technology, interactive screens, ambient lighting, sound and scenery that can be adapted to serve children and teens who are experiencing a mental health emergency.
