Although numerous smartphone apps for supportive care are available, few are designed using a user-centered approach. Such an approach is crucial for successful implementation, as it may improve user engagement, usability, and adoption in clinical settings.
Ease of use, integration with clinical workflows, introduction by care teams, and technical support were seen as key to uptake, while internet anxiety among users may hinder engagement — highlighting the importance of usability and support in digital health tools.
