I expect AI to be fully incorporated into medical diagnosis by 2025, speeding up the pace and precision of disease detection. AI programs, particularly deep-learning-based programs, will interpret medical images like X-rays, MRIs and CT scans with a level of accuracy unlike any other. Clinicians can anticipate such AI systems to assist them in diagnosing diseases ranging from cancers to neurological disorders more precisely and at a quicker rate than traditional methods. With the ability of AI to detect subtle patterns in images that human eyes may not see, patients will have faster and more accurate diagnoses and better treatment outcomes.
By 2025, the integration of AI-powered diagnostics and advanced imaging will enable much faster, more accurate detection of diseases — meaning Americans can expect earlier diagnoses (for cancer, neurological disorders, etc.) and better treatment outcomes.
