Digital access is critical for patient acquisition and retention as demand for online self-service continues to rise. However, an analysis of the top 20 US News and World Report-ranked health systems' websites reveals that significant opportunity remains to optimize the care search and scheduling experience.

Key Insights Include:

  • Less than half of the top health systems offer online scheduling for new patients
  • Just over 1/3 offer mobile apps that enable scheduling for consumers
  • Only one health system shows appointment availability in search results
