Gartner: ICD-10 Adoption Technology

ICD-10 or the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision is a newer version of the frequently used tool for turning diagnoses and procedures into a universally recognized sequence that is machine-readable. It replaces the ICD-9 code standard as it is more detailed and identifies more diagnostic codes in terms of injuries and procedures. It will improve coding accuracy and other processes such as reimbursements, care management, etc. when implemented correctly.
