Gartner: Computer-Brain Interface

Computer-brain interface can be referred to as a system that measures the central nervous system activity and generate artificial output, enhancing the natural CNS output. It is a kind of user-interface where a user’s brain patterns are interpreted by the computer as commands to control a device or an application. Electrodes may be implanted into the brain to detect signals and generate impulses to control the brain’s abnormal activity. Non-invasive techniques utilize a helmet or a cap to detect brain signals via external electrodes.
