Biodegradable sensors are made from non-toxic materials and are harmless to the environment and human health. These sensors are made from biodegradable materials paper or polylactic acid (PLA) and are capable of disappearing naturally into their environment. Biodegradable sensors can be used for monitoring different conditions of the brain, lungs, eyes, and heart harmlessly. These sensors are biocompatible and are developed by encapsulating an electrical filament (made of magnesium, silicon dioxide, and nitride) in a compostable polymer. All these materials, including magnesium (an essential component of the human diet), silicon dioxide, and nitride (both are water-soluble), are harmless to human health.
